The University of Cambridge, Department of Physics (West Cambridge) are seeking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join the finance team.

The Department has over 400 academic, academic-related, research and support staff organised into 15 research areas supported by three administrative Hubs, and 10 support sections.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the processing, checking and authorisation of expense claims from all staff in the Laboratory, credit control, and other clerical duties. The role calls for perseverance and tact in ensuring legitimacy and timeliness of payments; timely receipting of monies into the Department, and where necessary chasing overdue payments.

You will have relevant experience in an accounts/administrative based environment and experience in using standard Microsoft Office packages particularly Excel.

Additionally you will have excellent oral and written communication skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

The closing date for applications is Sunday 17th March 2019.

Interviews will take place in the week beginning 25th March 2019.
