One or two positions as Assistant Professor within the research area of International Business and Entrepreneurship will be vacant from 1 January, 2014 or soon after at the Department of Marketing & Management, University of Southern Denmark. The position is located in Odense.

The Department of Marketing & Management employs researchers in the areas of Consumption Studies, International Business & Entrepreneurship, Integrative Innovation Management, Strategic Communication Management and Strategic Organizational Design. See department website.

The research area of International Business & Entrepreneurship focuses specifically on the international business activities of B2B companies within the setting of an increasingly internationalized world. The research group is engaged in two major research themes: International business and international entrepreneurship with special emphasis on international market relationships, entry modes, foreign direct investment/multinational enterprises, International New Ventures/Born Global Firms, as well as entrepreneurship and business models in general. The goal of the research group is to contribute to an improved understanding of the emergence and growth of firms in diverse markets, through the study of the organization of marketing and strategic activities both within the firm and through the interplay with other actors on the market.

The candidate should have a PhD degree within the mentioned research area and will be expected to deliver high quality teaching in international business, international market relationships, or international entrepreneurship, at Bachelor as well as Master of Science in economics and business administration, MSc. in International Business and Modern Languages, and MBA programs. The candidate is expected to be able to contribute positively not only to the research group, but also to the department as a whole.

Application, salary, etc.

Appointment to the position will be in accordance with the salary agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations.

When the assessment committee has submitted its report, the applicant will receive the part of the evaluation that concerns him/her.
