The University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) is a globally influential institute within the University of Cambridge working on a mission to develop leadership and solutions towards a sustainable economy.

We have a brand new, exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Analyst to join CISL's Finance team. In this role you will enable and support decision-making across CISL, through core financial analysis and reporting responsibilities. This is a great opportunity to join a team that underpins and enables CISL's ability to achieve high sustainability impact around the world.

As Finance Analyst, you will perform data analysis and reporting relating to CISL financials and business metrics that will enable value-added decision-making within the CISL Finance function, and beyond across the Services and Centres in the Institute.

You will ideally be a highly numerate skilled analyst who has experience of optimising income and cost saving opportunities in a dynamic organisation with multiple stakeholders.

Previous work in Finance and/or an accounts based environment.
Experience of working to financial procedures and regulations.
Experience of working in close co-operation with a commercially oriented team.
Strong Data Analysis skills, both quantitative and qualitative.
Experience in financials optimisation.
Strong analytical skills.
Highly competent with IT packages, e.g. MS Office.
Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting processes.
Excellent communication skills.
Confidence and tact in dealing with people at all levels within and beyond the University.
Ability to work in a team and to prioritise work effectively.
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Flexible approach with a willingness to take on additional duties as necessary.
Ability to take the initiative to find solutions to problems as they arise.
Have an "owner" mindset to support the delivery of results.
Educated to GCSE standard, including English and Mathematics at Grade 5 or above.
The following attributes are desirable:

Experience of working with accounts software.
Previous exposure to working with a Client Relationship Management (CRM) system and/or document management system would be an advantage.
Holding a relevant degree or equivalent level qualification.
This post is full-time and located in Cambridge.
