The LSE Eden Centre brings together educational, technological and developmental expertise in the School to support the development of academic staff, enable curriculum enrichment and digital innovation across the School in both face-to-face and distance education. The centre works with academic and professional services colleagues across the School and in partnership with students to enhance research-rich education in line with the priorities of the School’s Strategy, LSE 2030 and ‘Education for Global Impact’. It also manages and supports key School-wide learning technology systems.

We are now recruiting to a new position for a Head, Digital Education, who will play an active part in the Eden Centre senior management team, providing strategic direction and pedagogical and technical leadership for digital education and the use of technology in teaching and learning in alignment with LSE strategic education priorities and sector requirements. We are at a pivotal, exciting point in our provision of digital education and your work will enable School-wide improvements and innovations in the use of technology to support learning, teaching and assessment at the LSE in both face-to-face and distance education. You will lead, manage and develop the Eden.Digital Team and Learning Technology Systems Group, ensuring that individual and collective performance is maximised through inspiration, vision and excellent performance management.

The successful candidate will be educated at least to degree level/equivalent with extensive experience of strategic, organisation-wide development of online learning, teaching and assessment and of working in digital education in higher education (preferably in the context of a research intensive university) as well as experience of successfully leading a team to deliver School-wide digital education initiatives.
