The Division of Psychology is an outward-facing Division that embraces interdisciplinary work, particularly within the broad theme of Health and Wellbeing, and pushes the boundaries of psychological knowledge regionally, nationally and internationally. We continue to build on our research strengths after our first REF submission in 2021. We are currently looking for staff in the area of experimental psychology. This appointment is part of a broader investment in Psychology, marking an ambitious programme of expansion. This expansion will be supported by further investments in lab facilities and resources, with the aim of achieving excellence in research as well as in teaching.

Successful applicants will have submitted or completed a PhD in Psychology or a related discipline, will have some experience of teaching undergraduates and will have demonstrated potential for high quality published outputs. They will show a trajectory of developing into internationally excellent research leaders and will be supported to do so by our mentoring provision offered by well-qualified and experienced senior staff.
