At the Institute of Plant Biochemistry in the faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences of Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf a post as a
PhD Student (m/f) Plant Science
(50 %, pay grade 13 TV-L)
is to be occupied at the earliest possible date. The employment is initially limited for a period of two years. It is a qualification position in the sense of the Act of Academic Fixed-Term Contract (Wissen- schaftszeitvertragsgesetz – WissZeitVG), which is to promote the scientific qualification of the employee.

Your tasks:
• Studying the regulation of a protein via phosphorylation in plants and yeasts
• Performing of a mass spectrometry-based phospho-proteomic approach
• Screening for a protein kinase via chemical cross-linking
• Prepare scientific publications
• Prepare a dissertation
Our requirements:
• A completed scientific university education (M. Sc.) in the field of biology, biochemistry or related disciplines
• Interest in plant science
• Working experience in molecular biology, biochemistry and/or
plant biology
• Knowledge in proteome analysis is beneficial
• Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written)
• High motivation, ability to work independently and team spirit
The pay scale grouping will be, depending on the personal qualifica- tion of the applicant, up to pay grade 13 TV-L.
