The Münster School of Business and Economics (MSBE) at the University of Münster (WWU), Germany, is seeking to hire a
Professor in Finance (W2 level) with the option for Tenure Track (W3 level)
starting in April 2020.

The successful candidate will teach and conduct research in the field of finance. Preference will be given to candidates with a focus on financial intermediation; a focus on another core area of finance, e.g., corporate finance, is also acceptable. The professorship is supposed to extend and complement the research and teaching portfolio of the Finance Center. Cooperation with the other professorships at the Finance Center is expected, in particular in the field of financial intermediation.

Applicants must have an excellent research record with relevant publications in leading international academic journals in the field of finance. They must demonstrate the ability to build an international network and to successfully apply for competitive external funding. They must also have a documented commitment to teaching and academic administration.
Applicants are expected to be willing and able to teach in English in the bachelor's-, master's- and doctoral-programs. Positive student evaluations are appreciated.
The appointment is initially for four years and has a tenure track option.

If the candidate meets the tenure criteria, he/she can be promoted to a tenured full professorship (W3).

Prerequisite for the application are academic achievements made as a Juniorprofessor (assistant professor), in a habilitation (postdoctoral qualification), as a member of the academic staff of a university or non-university research institute, or in a research position in business, industry, administration or other relevant fields in Germany or abroad.

The University of Münster is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to increasing the proportion of women academics. Consequently, we actively encourage applications by women. Female candidates with equivalent qualifications and academic achievements will be preferentially considered within the framework of the legal possibilities.

We also welcome applications from candidates with severe disabilities. Disabled candidates with equivalent qualifications will be preferentially considered.

Please feel free to contact the faculty of the Finance Center if you have any questions.
Applications with the usual documents (CV, certificates, list of publications, list of taught courses, PDF-versions of the five best papers - regardless of their publication status, description of the scientific career, as well as research and teaching concepts) shall be sent no later than September 30, 2019 to
