Applications are invited for a Research Assistant role to work with Dr Selma Pichot, based in the Department of Physics, University of Cambridge. Funding for the position is available for four months, starting as soon as possible.

The research involves the use of functionalized magnetic particles to induce cancer cell (glioblastoma) death. We seek an individual to support multiple lab routine experiments, including in vitro biochemical assays and cell culture experiments. Daily laboratory work will include techniques such as IHC and cell-based assays, the work will also involves the functionalization of the particles for easy grafting of biomolecules on their surface.

The successful candidate will have a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific discipline with previous laboratory experience and good working knowledge of cell and molecular biology.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 4 months.
