A one-year 100% FTE position has arisen for a Research Assistant in the laboratory of Dr Suzanne Turner within the Division of Cellular Molecular Pathology based on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.

The successful candidate will join the 'mechanisms of lymphomagenesis' laboratory working on a project examining the pathogenesis of breast implant associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma (BIA-ALCL), a cancer of the immune system that affects women with breast implants.

Candidates should have experience of conducting a range of laboratory techniques including qRT-PCR, flow cytometry, isolation of DNA/RNA, cell culture, cell survival/apoptosis assays and Western blot. Ideally, the applicant will also have a background in immunology and/or cancer biology.

The ability to work both independently and as part of a team, coupled with excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills are required. Other duties/responsibilities include developing and driving research objectives, writing up work for presentation and publication, assisting in the supervision of student research projects. This project is supported with funding from Allergan and requires regular contact with our partners.
