We are seeking to appoint a Research Fellow in Data Science, Analytics and Visualisation with specialist expertise to support the Digital Research and Innovation Value Accelerator DRIVA arts DRIVA (DAD) project, which is funded by the European Regional Development Fund and Arts Council England.

You will work as part of a specialist team in Data Science, Analytics and Visualisation who collaborate with the University of Brighton DAD project team and SMEs participating in the project. It is expected that you will continually keep up to date with data analytic knowledge required to access, analyse, demonstrate and query DAD requests in relation to the GAL data feed. You will expected to collaborate with colleagues to make recommendations as to how the Data Science, Analytics and Visualisation can best support to DAD project. You will also be able to translate knowledge from your understanding in the field of data analytics into workshops and support for DAD members.

To be successful in the post you will have:

  • Experience in project delivery by liaising and resolving on technical challenges
  • Sufficient, up to date breadth or depth of specialist knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques
  • A good (1 or 2:1) degree, ideally a postgraduate qualification/PhD or an equivalent level of professional experience
  • Competent IT skills with specialist knowledge of software and tools in the field of data analytics
  • This post is part-time (0.13 FTE full time equivalent) and fixed term until the end of the project 31st January 2021.
